Better food for your body
A whole food plant-based diet is simply no processed foods, but this book focuses on no meat also. You will learn all the plant-based foods you can eat, along with the benefits for this diet. It explains how to get started, getting prepared, stock your pantry with whole grains, learn to read labels, and taking vitamins and nutrients. I like the tips on how to manage your food cravings, very helpful information. I also like the many delicious recipes like, snacks, smoothies, etc. I will be keeping this cookbook handy.

Not what I expected
I thought I was going to get a beautiful colorful book with pictures and good recipes. The recipes are just OK something I definitely could’ve thought of myself but overall just didn’t like black and white was not appealing we eat with our eyes, so I definitely thought I would see better pictures not the case. It also was a poor copy. You can read the words, but you could tell it was kind of smudgy. I’m only giving two stars because the recipe was OK

If you want to transition to a plant based diet
I am, was, a big carb consumer and advised to introduce more plants into my daily diet. This book is perfect to assist in transitioning to that. It is a strict whole food book.it begins with educating on how this transition will change and benefit your daily existence (I.e., sleeping better, younger looking skin, saves time and money, etc.). The book will assist in transitioning one’s kitchen into a whole food kitchen, as well as educate one on understanding their food. Well worth every penny spent on this book.

Not for me
The whole book was in black and white and had no pictures for the recipes. Also there wasn’t much content for dinners that I would cook.

Eat for better overall health
This book opens by explaining what a whole food, plant based diet is and what it can do for you. If you already follow this way of life, then you already probably know this info. However, if you have not completely made the switch, then this may convince you to do so. There is a helpful section on how to handle cravings when you do make the switch. The recipes are next. THey cover the main food areas, like soups, breakfast, smoothies, salads, etc. Really, I think the author does a good job covering all the kinds of foods you could want to eat.

There are many different pieces in this book including information of origin, key principles of vegetarian cooking, how it can affect your health and how t prep.Menus were tasty with simple steps and fewer ingredients. Included a 31 day meal planner to help with the “What should we have for dinner?” question. A must have for vegetarians.

eating unrefined,unprocessed food
This healthy way of eating eliminates animal by products as well as refined sugars and salt. The author states it is the healthiest way to eat. There is a month of meal plans to help you get started. You’ll find the recipes easy to follow.

Not a true WFPB cook book
I am very disappointed in this cook book. Some of the recipes us cheese and other ingredients that aren’t whole food plant based. Don’t waste your money on this book.

I have various health issues, so I have gradually been changing my diet towards something more plant-based. Being pre-diabetic, I’m trying to avoid refined and enriched foods as much as possible. I appreciate that the book also has a section on desserts and ice cream, which I have missed quite a bit. The recipes aren’t rocket science and they give you that sweetness fix that you might need without harming you. I do substitute maple syrup for agave syrup (like in the cookies I made in the attached picture) and the recipes work anyway!

As someone who likes to eat a bit of everything, I didn’t think I would ever buy this kind of cookbook. I consider myself relatively healthy, so I didn’t get the hype of this kind of diet. Reading through it, however, I can say that it does persuade you to alter you diet, even if just a little, through explanations and a guide to assist you in your choices. The biggest advantage for me and the best reason for the investment is that nowadays we all know someone who is vegan or has specific dietary requirements (lactose intolerance, for example) and I thought of how to not exclude them at a dinner party. This book offers a lot of great recipes which could become part of your everyday meals or part of a repertoire to show the people you care about that you take their needs into consideration. There’s everything from breakfast food to desserts so that those special people in your life can feel pampered without your going crazy over complicated preparations or shopping for hard-to-find ingredients. I can’t recommend it enough!

I am honestly a meat eater and I don’t see myself converting completely anytime soon, but I did want to eat more veggies and fewer processed foods considering all the things you hear nowadays. I love that this book includes advice about shopping and staples to keep at home. It completely opened my eyes to a new world of types of dishes I could make, even as sides to my fish and meat. I think it’s a step in the right direction and the book is super helpful.

The recipes are easy enough but especially tasty. I don’t have to worry about food presentation, which is important because I have kids! There aren’t pictures of the recipes, but they’re extremely manageable anyway. My kids absolutely loved the Mac and Peas recipe and I make them the peanut butter and chocolate bars for snack at school. In general, the recipes are quick and some are easy to even take to work with you.
