Easy to use well written
Got this for my Vegan teenager. Super easy recipes with great explanations and pictures. Good “normal” food. Recipes are healthy and save money-great for my Vegan preparing to live on his own soon. Essential info about amounts of protein carbs fat sugar and salt content for each recipe. Only wish it had info about vitamin and mineral content to assure those daily needs are met. Overall great buy.

Simple and nutritious recipes!
This is an awesome cookbook for those of us that like to meal prep on the weekends to have healthy options available during the week. All of the ingredients are simple and affordable with the exception of tofu, tempeh, and TVP. I usually grocery shop at discount stores / farmers markets which don’t carry those items.I don’t think I will use this book much for dinner, but tons of great ideas for breakfast, lunch, and snacks.LOVE that nutritional content is included for every recipe. Some authors don’t include this because they say it can vary too much- it is helpful to at least have an estimate, though!Only downside is that a lot of recipes do not have pictures even though there is a ton of blank space.

Good information
This book is a good place for beginner vegetarians. It has good tips on prepping for the week and recipes. Includes suggestions on storage wares. Easy to read and understand.I gave it 4 stars because I was looking for something even more basic. I feel a little overwhelmed prepping so much food just for me.

If you get organized, you can eat healthy every single day
JL is down to earth when it comes to the reality that we are busy, living hectic lives with crazy schedules. She makes it easy and accessible to pre-make LOTS of things that will carry us through the week, so we can eat great food and not have to be overwhelmed by our own lives. I have other books by JL Fields – this one is a wealth of ideas, lists, beautiful pictures, and easy directions. Every meal is covered. If you are busy but determined to improve the quality of your meals and to better manage your time, this is a great resource!

Excellent!
My new favorite cook book. I don’t ‘prep’ in individual containers because of lack of space in my fridge, but that’s the genius of this book- I don’t have to! Ingredients are pretty simple and most are mainstream or easily found in the grocery store and incorporated. Instructions are clear and simple. I have several new favorites from this book! Asian-inspired chili surprised me as being so satisfying and flavorful, yet simple! And the Parm-y Kale Pesto is divine! Even some of my non-vegan friends have tried it and loved it (most of them just things I eat strange food). But my thanksgiving table is going to include the cheesy mushroom polenta and white bean gravy (with mushrooms added) and none of us will miss the traditional flavors of thanksgiving! Some recipes, like any cookbook left me ‘meh’, but it definitely has more winners than most cook books!

Not my favorite book
I’m not a fan of this book. I’ve tried a few recipes and they’re just bad. Flavorless. But, the concept is great. Plenty of ideas for meal prep. When I become more knowledgeable cooking vegan I may be able to tweak the flavors of this book.

Perfect for new vegans (& not new vegans!)
I wish I had had this book when I went vegan years ago. This is a great book for beginners. The ingredients are accessible (the ‘strangest’ for a new vegan might be nutritional yeast & vegan Worcestershire- the rest you can find anywhere!) and aren’t complicated in preparation. The set up of the book is fabulous for meal prep. Step by step instructions (sticky notes are helpful keeping track while you’re flipping through steps). And the most important part- the flavors are really good! This will be a go to for the unforeseeable future- and I think it’s really going to give me skills that I can use in putting together my own meal prep recipes and ideas. JL does it again with this one!

Reads like a novel
I was excited to get this. I opened it up and it reads like a novel! The author hooked me right in with their writing style. Excellent! I have been attempting, poorly I might add, to meal prep. I realized this could be wasteful if not done properly. So I seek a teacher, and I chose so well. Love this book. Thanks!

Bought for Vegan Child at Uni. Thought it would encourage her to expand her diet beyond falafel and hummus. She said it’s good. She has tubs and jars And has told me that it will save her money. That’s good.

It would have been nice to see what the inside was like. Im a bit more of a visual person so I normally look at youtube videos instead. The book is a step by step guide recipe book 🙂
