    Easy to follow
Short and easy to follow recipes

    Not Proofread, Blatantly Stolen Recipes
If you want a cookbook that seems to be a chat GPT compilation of stolen bread recipes with features like just the word plant-based stuck in front of ingredients that aren’t vegan with both metric and imperial measurements in the same recipe and instructions that have the first step as the second step and this is your cookbook! Good luck following the recipe for a bread machine because there’s no mention of the size of the loaf (1/2-2lb?) settings and the serving listed on each recipe range widely and aren’t actual measurements (1 loaf/12 slices is not a standard size?). Basic wheat bread recipe requires cocoa powder and coffee??? And the table of contents has page numbers that don’t correlate to anything, not even on the same line as the recipe listed, at least the stolen recipes are numbered right unlike the pages.

An okay introduction to plant-based breads
This book begins with a helpful introduction to using a bread machine, including an explanation of the machine’s cycles and how long each takes, as well as a troubleshooting chart. The recipes are plant-based and range from classics (like white bread, wheat bread, and sourdough) to creative oddballs (like avocado bread, pickle juice bread, and rice bead). What really feels absent are pictures and any form of preamble to each recipe (for instance , what is black bread, for the uninitiated?). It also would be welcome to include gluten-free or low-sodium recipes, for those who follow those diets.

Only a handful of good recipes so far
Both banana bread recipes were a flop. So far I’ve only had luck with a couple recipes whole wheat was a good one though. I have to take it out of the bread machine to bake it in the oven. I wouldn’t purchase this book again.

Good Bad and Ugly review from an opinionated vegan!
OK so if you’re gonna read the bad, please see the good as well. And the conclusion. I gave it 5 stars for a reason! This review is opinionated, so if you want a basic conformist review, maybe skip mine.Wife asked “why not just utube-it?” I said because thats TIME CONSUMING! Gotta wait for the commercials, then watch half way through and the content creator forgot to mention that it has eggs.. Maybe they didn’t understand the meaning of vegan? Then repeat process for next vid, then have to find a pen and paper and write it down… Then I lose the paper for next time.. With a book I can add notes and its always right there. Half the time the content creator forgets to list the qty needed of an ingredient, or quickly-slurs the name of an ingredient, and you have to replay it 10 times and still cant figure out what they said.. its common there. Book form is just so much more convenient. The bad: No pictures. No description of what it will be. Nothing but a name of the recipe and the recipe. The bad: It seems like there are a lot of recipes that are the same basic bread with such a tiny difference in ingredients, and a different bread title. This is especially bad in the basic breads section that starts the book. The bad: Id like more really unusual breads. More complex breads like a version of Daves Killer, and some breads that are mostly seed, like an 11 seed bread, etc.The good. OK Its vegan. It gets 5 stars just because its vegan, cuz theres so little love for us. The recipes are varied, and what I like most is I will use this as a jump off point to make my own breads. Like for instance I used the garlic bread recipe but used 8 HUGE garlic cloves instead of what they stated, and I added flax seed. It didn’t rise as much, but Im ok with that. The good: Its easier than TV and faster. The good: its good for figuring out ratios of bread flour vs oil vs water. The good: its more convenient than TVI do get annoyed at people grouping vegans up with keto or gluten free or whatever.. and Im not any of those. I literally buy cans of gluten at my local global mart and eat it straight from the can! So I couldn’t care less about gluten free recipes or low sodium or keto or whatever.. I just want bread recipes, and I can leave salt out if I want less, but usually Im adding more. Perspective I suppose. The layout of the book is a bit confusing. The pages vs recipe number thing is kinda weird, but with a little use it makes sense. All in all Im really happy with this book.I dont have an oven, and some of the ingredients for long loafs require a separate oven, but I just skip those. May try them in my pizza oven though.. All in all its a great resource for a person such as myself who has made literally every single loaf of bread he has consumed in the past year. I dont buy bread. I make it. Easy and cheap. AND NUTRITIOUS. I can make it WITHOUT genetically modified foods too!
