INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER
An all-new collection of more than 120 recipes that are so delicious and easy to make, you might forget they’re vegan, from the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Deceptively Delicious, Double Delicious, The Can’t Cook Book, and Food Swings.
Jessica Seinfeld isn’t a committed vegan. Her husband and her children aren’t, either. Instead of convincing you to become vegan or shaming you for eating meat, she simply wants to show you how easy it is to be a vegan, at times, by cooking flavorful, affordable, and robust plant-based meals whenever you want—whether that’s every day, once a week, or just once in a while.
With her reassuring and accessible style, Jessica shows you step-by-step recipes for sweet and savory breakfasts, comforting and healthy meals for lunch and dinner, delicious snacks that can be whipped together quickly, and essential sauces and dressings—all tailored to home cooks. She also demonstrates how to create a basic vegan pantry filled with the essential items to keep in stock, explains what kitchen equipment you’ll want to have on hand, gives sample menus for combining recipes, and tells relatable stories from her adventures in vegan cooking with her family.
Simple, affordable, and comforting, and infused with Jessica’s “encouraging attitude” (Publishers Weekly), Vegan, at Times is the perfect gateway to a healthier and more balanced you.

Get this cookbook – EASY recipes, gourmet results
I have had this cookbook for a few weeks after being inspired by Jessica Seinfeld’s Instagram posts. I have been cooking vegan for about five years for my daughter and learned so many new and easy recipes with simple ingredients. For example, making French toast with a batter of plant milk, banana, cinnamon and vanilla. Amazing! Every recipe I have made has been a huge hit for my family of five (four are non-vegans). The roasted sweet potatoes and chick peas over rice with cilantro, scallions and Tahini sauce is so satisfying!!! The butternut squash soup with quinoa- so hearty and tasty. The strawberry cupcakes! I could go on and on. Get this cookbook!!!!

Excellent Book
So many vege cookbooks have exotic (expensive) ingredients that you will likely use once. (Unless you make the same recipe more than once.) This book has a lot of yummy looking recipes using common cooking ingredients that you can use over and over in your daily cooking. This is actually the first vegetarian cookbook I have purchased that I am anxious to try the many recipes.

Pretty good cookbook!
After cooking for 50-plus years, have recently begun exploring vegan cooking. I appreciate that these recipes are so varied, well-flavored, and mostly-simple. Haven’t run into any esoteric ingredients yet. I agree with another reviewer that nutritional information would have been REALLY helpful. Ideally, information about amino acids and such; at bare minimum, the nutritional content of the recipes themselves. (Oddly, I want to know WHY I’m cooking things/combining ingredients a certain way, and not just that they’re visually attractive, and taste good.) I really do appreciate the lack of dogma, and the plentiful photos of the food. Not clear why there are so many photos of the author, but so be it. At full-price, I likely would return it. But at half-off of the publisher’s price, I’m pretty satisfied.UPDATED: A year out, am deleting this from my bookshelf, and donating it. I really wanted to love this book. But truth be told, I don’t. It seems that Ms. Seinfeld has no culinary background, and it rather painfully shows. Pretty though this book may be, it’s just taking up space on my bookshelf. I DO hope that someone else will love and be able to use it! After giving it almost a year’s worth of chances, I would now give it three stars. Max.

The vegan mac and cheese was fantastic!
I received this cookbook about a week ago. I have made a half dozen of the recipes and every one was delicious. I’m fairly new to vegan cooking so I wanted to say how fantastic the Mac and cheese was. My meat and dairy husband loved it too. Wonderful recipes here-go buy this one.

Accessible, Easy, Delicious Recipes
One of my favorite cookbooks! All the recipes have been winners although the butternut squash soup was a little blander than I wanted it to be. And the surprise hit was the tofu breakfast burritos. I was super hesitant to try them and now they’re on regular rotation. Looking forward to trying out more of the recipes. All of the ingredients are easily found at most grocery stores and don’t require a ton of ingredients. Super simple, hearty food.

Great recipes, even for a non-vegans!
My husband is most definitely a carnivore but I’m more of the chicken-eggs-dairy variety when it comes to meat. I checked this cookbook out from the library and fell in love, so I bought a copy! The recipes have broad appeal with my husband and two toddlers and have added some good variety to our monthly meal calendar. We’ve made a few recipes already and the banana bread, macaroni and cheese, and cold peanut noodles were hits at our house. I’ve got a lot more recipes to try, but my family loves this cookbook!

I have made many recipes from this book and most of them produce tasty meals using accessible ingredients. The blueberry pie, banana bread and broccoli quesadillas are delicious!Overall, this book is a good introduction to vegan cooking.Note – This book pays tribute to vegan cooking but some of the comments are insulting to vegans ex. How not to be an annoying vegan…

Great recipes with many pictures. I like the way the book is divided into sections, such as, breakfast, Mealtime, Quick fixes, Desert and more. I am looking forward in trying these recipes. This is a great vegan cookbook.
