    So much more than recipes!
Gabriel Miller (Plant Based Gabriel) overcame his struggles with weight and health by researching and eating a Whole Foods, Plant Based (WFPB) diet. I first heard about him on Facebook, where his recipe blogs came up often and wasted no time in subscribing. Many of those recipes are here in this book. Most of his recipes are SOS (no salt, oil, or sugar), gluten free, and nut free. Those that aren’t, have options to fit your needs. I adore that he has recipes for condiments and sauces, main dishes, snacks, and let us not forget desserts! He gives information as to the what, why, and how to eat this way. I’m not a beginner to this way of eating (WOE), but I love having a handbook at my disposal (did I mention recipes?) I preordered both the Kindle version which is out at the time of this review, and the hard copy. Kindle version is easy to use and the links work great! Looking forward for the hardcopy next week and it will make great Christmas presents!

    Great Starter Book
When beginning my plant based diet journey, I had no idea what to cook for myself. This book is a great starting point for those that begin this lifestyle. The recipes are easy to follow, the ingredients are all things that I can find in the supermarket (thankfully nothing exotic), and the ones that I have made thus far are very tasty. There are color photos as well as guides on how to best continue eating plant based. Definitely recommend this book to those starting out eating this way.

    It’s not a diet cookbook it’s a YUMMY cookbook!!
I am not a beginner in the plant based lifestyle but this cookbook is phenomenal!I have followed Gabriel on FB for quite a while because his story was so inspirational. He has a passion for the plant based life and he really wants to help others live a healthy but TASTY life. The recipes are easy to follow but they are also delicious, fulfilling and good for you.Eating plant based doesn’t mean eating rabbit food. You won’t feel hungry or deprived or like you’re “on a diet” with any of these amazing meals.Whether you are new to the lifestyle or just wanting to eat more healthy or looking for some new and creative ways to add to your already thriving plant based lifestyle this book delivers in all areas.Congratulations to Gabriel on this amazing journey and I look forward to more books in the future!

    Basic recipes for non cookers.
I purchased this book to support a fellow Richmond resident. We’ve tried a few recipes from this book. For us as written the recipes are bland BUT with some extra seasonings they come out a lot better. My kids made the Blueberry Muffins and they were bland. We made them again and they came much better. We also added some extra seasonings, veggies and potatoes to the 4 can chili. This is a basic cookbook for someone who doesn’t cook but wants to change their diet. You can find all the ingredients at your local store and put it together with basic kitchen utensils. If you know your way around a spice rack I recommend it. It’s also kid friendly. My kids use it to find simple recipes they can make because we usually have the ingredients on hand.

    Good Food
Pros:This book does not mess around. I see legit scientific citations and quotes appropriately documented in this book.Pictures with vivid detail – smooth cover and backing; Easy to manipulate with one hand or two; Can fold easily as well if need beThe directions are easy to follow, good font size, pleasurable to read and easy to source ingredients from your local supply store (Sprouts, Target, whomever you buy from)Not a lot is required of you except an open mind – Things worth going for require thatTasty food omg : I can make oat milk! I can make plant based goat cheese! Sky’s the limit here folks it feels like!Cons:Requires money to buy – As one would expect for a good (in this case, a good providing a useful skill to provide service no less) Still, I gotta budget and every bit counts. This can bite into the budget for some people and not for others.Really, that is the only con. Not just having free access to this book for myself and everyone but for having to pay. I understand and respect the reality of the situation. Just saying!I was not compensated for my review on this product. I like to give open, honest and transparent feedback on products I like to try. I hope you found this review to be helpful. If so, please click the ‘Helpful’ button to let myself and others know that it has helped you.

    Love this book!
I consider myself a very good cook. I do get the simplicity aspect of the recipes and if your an experienced WFPB WOE, I get there may be some minor disappointment that this is not gourmet recipes but this is an EXCELLENT book. I loved the pictures, I loved the explanations and references to real life events. The author explains the why and where for of the WOE and does it extremely well. It is well written and informative and I personally found that these recipes should be staples in every WFBP persons repertoire and should definitely adorn your book shelves!. BUY IT, you will not be disappointed in any way. It isnt just for recipes, its for a thorough and easy to follow informative of how to buy, stock your pantry and cook with the essentials to maintain your sanity and re-configure your home to fit this lifestyle. I have been doing this for 3 months and thought I knew it all but clearly Gabriel knows what we NEED to know to accomplish this very important way of eating. LOVED!!!

Tante ricette utili. 😀

So happy to have this book in my hands at last! In my opinion, one of the the best plant based cookbooks out there especially for people new to this way of eating, but also for those who have been doing it for a while, but are feeling a glut of Just Too Much Information and Social Media Overwhelm! Paging through Gabriel’s new book feels like having a wave of fresh, simple calm wash over me and I have a renewed sense of excitement…. of pressing the Reset Button and taking a deep breath with what is important ie) simple, easy nourishment. There is a beautiful clean SIMPLICITY in the valuable information presented and the oh-so-doable recipes that won’t require a visit to your therapist 🙂 Thank you so much Gabriel for sharing both your kind and generous spirit and these absolutely lovely recipes! I have my eye on that Mango Ginger Chickpea Curry!

I’m not a beginner but would recommend this to anyone new to whole food plant based eating. I’d also recommend to those of us busy people who need to put together nutritious balanced meals with minimum of fuss . These recipes are simple to prepare with basic ingredients that you probably have on hand, As well as the recipes Gabriel provides easy to follow meal plans and shopping lists. This is the perfect accompaniment to Gabriel’s youtube channel which I also highly recommend.

Good recipes and good information on the importance of a plant based diet. Also provides an idea of how to make a weekly meal plan and grocery list.Just wish there were more substantial meals in the book (some of the recipes are sauces and salads and such—which is important too, just not what I expected)
