NOTE: I was provided a review print copy and liked it so much that I bought the digital copy.I like this book. I have most of JL Fields’ cookbooks and have attended her online classes. If you are new to plant-based eating, the entire book will be of interest and helpful, starting with her definition of “plant-based”. For those that have been plant-based for a while, the first few chapters make a good review and include some new tips. My favorite is the reminder on how to store vegetables and fruits for the best results.The recipes offer a great variety of ingredients and options to modify to match your tastes and preferences. The majority are SOS free (salt, oil, sugar). The few items that do include them use very little and offer alternatives.One reason I was looking forward to this book was the promise of a 21-day menu to help get you started. When I first looked at that menu, it seemed like a lot of repetition. Then I read that it was intended for one person and I realized that JL was making it easy for beginners to prep a few recipes to eat on all week. For those households with more than one person, you could easily insert other recipes for more variety.I always look forward to new and interesting recipes from JL Fields. This did not disappoint. I would have enjoyed more pictures of recipes but that is true of almost every cookbook.

Another great book from JL Fields
This super chef always creates wonderful cook books that make fun and tasty recipes for all. If you are trying to eat plant based and healthy, give this book a try. I already have book marks placed at my favorite spots that I keep going back to. This woman is my air fryer guru. Colorado is lucky to have such a great V scene.

Plant Based book not a weight loss guide
I just received this book. The recipes and shopping lists are easy to follow . I have not made any of the recipes or started the 21 day plan. I am a little disappointed that the book is not a weight loss book, instead its about plant based eating, which is what I decided ,but with a weight loss guide. An oversight on my part. Twice a year for the past 6 years I have used a 22 day vegan plan for resetting my body. I was looking for variety with this book. I plan to keep this book and give it a try. This appears to be a good book with a nice layout. I will give a follow up review with results.

Good recipes, but not my style
There are some nice recipes in here, but the overall book didn’t appeal to me all that much. I’m not exactly sure why other than perhaps the meal plan part. it may just be me, but I’m not super enthused about someone planning my menus for me. Also, the nutritional info seemed incomplete as it only gave values for a handful of things. if you’re going to give nutritional information, then give nutritional information.Again, these were all stylistic things that bothered me. The recipes are perfectly fine and tasty. I’m just often thrown off of books by things that aren’t really book-related.
