What is a SlideBelts brand ratchet belt? It’s a belt that lets you freely adjust your belt size without the limitation of holes. In fact, there are no holes at all! A tab in the buckle catches on a row of notches sewn onto the underside of the leather, allowing for over 30 size options with 1/4″ between adjustments. All SlideBelts come with a belt strap that can be trimmed to your exact waist size. The full length of one of our straps fits a 48″ waist size. All buckles are completely removable and interchangeable with compatible SlideBelts products. Try SlideBelts out and see why there’s no reason to poke holes in a perfectly good belt.

More precise fit than a traditional belt
Picked up a black and brown SlideBelt for $28/each on a sale. I’m typically buying inexpensive (less than $15) belts every few months as they wear out. Either the holes stretch or the material starts to shred and it just looks sloppy. This belt will at least help with holes not stretching as it uses a ratchet system instead of the traditional holes. I’ve had it for a few weeks and really like them both. The buckles are interchangeable, so you can swap them out based on what you are wearing. The ratchet system works really well, and allows for a much more precise fit that a traditional belt. I haven’t had them long enough to speak on how they will hold up, but so far, so good (and for less than the $30 I paid I would totally recommend).

Great concept, annoyingly loose ratchet release buckle.
Concept is awesome, especially during times of year when waste size “fluctuates” and combined with different additional layers of shirts that may be tucked in, helps eliminate being between holes. The old webbing belts with the abrasive cylinder clamp solved it as well, but they leave impressions on leather and only wearing webbing belts is a poor option. The look on this ratchet type is cleaner with the track embedded in the back and the hold overall is solid. I ordered the “square” buckle versus the bulkier version and am a bit disappointed that the release arm hangs loose and even clanks a bit when walking. Not sure if it is a quality reflection on my particular buckle or the square version overall, but the belt would be 5 stars if the release portion stayed in place. Update 2/10/15 – Vendor has shipped (at no cost) a replacement buckle that has a tweak that fixed the hold function. Outstanding response to customer feedback.

Nice belt
It’s a nice belt and buckle. I liked that I was able to customize the size, and put it together (I “built” something!). Unfortunately, the buckle’s corners are a little stabby when I’m bending over. I usually slide it towards my hip so it’s a bit more out of the way.Great quality, nonetheless!

Love It. All wear no tear.
As a larger man, I wear belts out quick. Holes stretch. Belts deform into weird curvy shapes. The vegan leather slide belt puts an end to all that. The ratchet buckle has a sturdy grip that seems like it will be impossible to wear out. The vegan leather material is stylish, looks and feels pretty authentic, and is actually sturdier than leather. I think these are my new work belts. One caution: I preferred the look of the square buckle, but after I got it home, I realized why the rectangle is their go-to, it’s just a little smallish for the profile of the belt. I think seeing it on the small screen makes them seem bigger than they are. For my next slide belt, I’m definitely getting the rectangular buckle.

Love this — much better than a “traditional” belt…
Bought this as a casual belt to wear with jeans. Love the fact that you can use the same buckle and swap out the leather belt for different looks. Belt was easy to size up and attach to the buckle. There are marks an inch apart at the buckle end. Just use a pair of good, sharp scissors to cut to the appropriate length, attach the buckle, and you’re good to go. So far the ratchet system seems to hold very tightly, and is easy to adjust for an exact fit. Much better than a traditional belt where the closest hole is either a little too loose or a little too tight. This is my first Slide Belt purchase, but I’ll be buying more when it’s time to replace the couple of other belts I wear with my work slacks.

Great quality belt, much more flexibility in sizing
I LOVE the slide belts. The notches in the belt give so much more flexibility in sizing than traditional belts do. And the slide design makes it easy to quickly adjust the size as well (such as…after having a big lunch and needing some extra room 😉 The belt is great quality and the buckle is fantastic. While you could probably switch out the belt buckle if you wanted to, I wouldn’t recommend it. The buckles attach using sharp teeth, which puncture the belt. Switching the buckle frequently looks like it could damage the belt long term.

you only get one belt not three like the picture shows!
love the belt but when I ordered it I only got one belt and buckle. looking at the picture I thought I was getting a belt and buckle and two extra belts.not sure why they would have three belts pictured?? the belt is fantastic tho!

5 Stars for Belt Design, -4 Points for Terrible Belt Buckle Quality
I purchased two of these belts when they were on sale.At first, I was really happy – the ratchet-click belt design works great, offers a better fit, and stays secure. This should have been a five-star review. However, after owning both belts for a few weeks now, my rating is going down to a one star.I wear these belts approximately 70 percent of the time for daily usage, where I still use some traditional belts for the other 30 percent. Both of the SlideBelt buckles are visibly damaged now, with the black matte buckle on my navy blue belt in the worst condition.I have owned many other belts throughout my life, and none of them have become this visibly damaged over just a few weeks of partial daily use – even belts that only cost $10 to $15.SlideBelts has made a management decision to go with this cheaper quality buckle, but their belts certainly aren’t a cheap price.Very disappointed.
