HOW TO SET UP & USE
Measure & Cut
One of the benefits to wearing a SlideBelt is the perfect fit it provides! Achieve this custom fitting by using the measurements on the back of the strap as a guide. Any good pair of household scissors should make a clean cut.
Attach Buckle
Attach the buckle by inserting the cut end of the strap into the bottom of the buckle. Close the hinged “trapdoor” to secure the strap to buckle.
Put on & Tighten
After putting the SlideBelt on, insert the belt tip through the buckle and pull to tighten.
Lift to Release
There are no silly magnets or bulky levers to get in the way of taking off a SlideBelt. Simply lift on the frame of the buckle to disengage the mechanism and release or loosen the SlideBelt.

The perfect belt! Will last a long time and still look as good as new.
An amazing belt. Do to the slide nature, the belt does not stretch and pull, since there is no time through the belt. A problem with every belt i’ve ever had since those cloth slide belts I had as a kid. This design is much better. I’ve had one belt for nearly a year and it looks like i just pulled it out of the box. No stretching and tearing. Also, with the slide it’s easy and quick to adjust, without unbuckling, and has more notches so it can be adjusted in finer increments. Love it! This belt will last a long time and as already lived longer than 2-3 belts. Might be pricier than the walmart special, but will last much longer. $/day probably less and it looks nicer.

These belts are perfect in every way. Functional and good-looking… so much so, that I bought a second one. The quick-release buckle and ratchet- catch system is great if you need to get your pants off quickly (in case of fire or lies.) These belts are made such that if you own more than one, you can interchange the parts to make various combinations. The belt arrives in two pieces for self-sizing and assembly. You cut the belt-strap to your waist size and clamp it into the buckle. I was astounded to read that even if YOU make a dumb error and cut the strap too short, they will send a replacement. Who else will compensate me for my own stupidity? Even the packaging seems too cool to throw away…. and actually, I’d like the belt just as well if it came in a cheaper box and it cost a little less. But if it’s a gift, the box will certainly be part of the experience.

Comfortable and well made
I really do like this style of belt. I have two now and use them and my double D belt virtually all the time. This last christmas I gave one to each of my step sons and my son. They really liked them as well. In fact they use them all the time now as well.A couple of time now, in the morning when I’m getting dressed, that the buckle fell off. It’s takes me about 10 seconds to put it back on and from there no problems in using it. Over 6 months of constant use on two different belts and maybe three times I found a loose buckle. So I’ve spent 30 seconds so far putting them back on over that time frame. It’s not a problem at all.You get comfort, a good belt and know problems…. what more can it do?

Good enough, don’t expect it to last forever
I’m 6’1 and i weigh around 340 pounds, so finding a belt is something of a challenge for me. With more traditional belt models i need anywhere from size 48 to 54 waist and the crappy walmart ones will often die after two months, the shortest i’ve ever gotten out of one being two weeks. I found slidebelts a few years back and they are everything other belts are not, these are perfect for the big and tall crowd, these belts last anywhere from six months to two years for me, which may be nothing for all the skinny guys out there but for a big and tall guy like me this is a huge improvement.I’ve had issues with slidebelts in the past, but they usually only show up after a few months. Sure the buckles break after awhile or occaisionally the way the buckle digs into the leather sometimes causes it to tear it up and lose grip and honestly the leather DOES eventually wear down, cracks and other imperfections form and the whole thing needs to be replaced just from day to day wear. At the same time though, these things only cost 40 bucks, you can only expect so much for 40 bucks in this day and age. I definitely think the few times my belt made it like two years was well BEYOND the expected warranty, i just buy another one when they wear down. The last time i think they offered to replace a buckle that broke but it’s so much hassle to return stuff through amazon sometimes that i don’t bother, especially if i was just going to buy another one anyways.It’s not the PERFECT solution, but as i said, for 40 bucks it’s going to be some of the best value you’ll find. That said, every time i buy a new slidebelt i always get a different buckle and different type of belt and i’m starting to suspect they aren’t all made at the same place to the same standards, this is probably part of why some people get an amazing experience and some don’t. The distressed checkered leather seemed to last MUCH longer than the white leather did, for example.That said, i don’t know how slidebelt compares to mission belt as i’ve never had a mission belt to compare it to, however i did once use a cheaper ratcheting belt that hooked into the ratchets differently and the cheaper stuff was literally painful to use and VERY difficult to adjust while wearing when tightened. Part of what makes slidebelt great is how easy it is to adjust even while sitting down.

Finally, A Quality Belt That Fits Perfect
Having been through many belts in 1 year, the holes always tear and looks horrible. I found Slidebelts on Amazon and I though I would give it a try (since I tried just about every belt in the past, from Calvin Klein to Tommy Hilfiger). I open the box and attached the belt to the buckle. It is heavy, appears very sturdy and well built. The style is classy and the Matte Black buckle complements any pants. The leather belt material appears very well made is very flexible (which translates into comfort). Upon trying it on I was hooked (literally). The belt adjusts to just about any size and is extremely easy to adjust. If the belt is to tight while sitting, just lift the latch and loosen the belt, and when standing simply pull the belt to tighten it (no need to even lift the latch). I was worried about how securely it grips, but I find the grip very tight and secure. One important note: cut the belt 1 to 2 inches bigger than your pants size (I cut mine to small). Would I buy this kind of belt again? 100% YES.
