Best thing ever
I’ve gotten less dairy-tolerant over the years, and was really disappointed by soy milk, hemp milk, etc. Then I tried almond milk and liked it, though it seemed a bit thin. I was just blown away when cashew milk hit the market (and this seems to be the dominant brand, and was also the first that I tried). It has a mouth-feel just as rich as whole milk, a fantastic flavor (unless you don’t like cashews, I guess), and a less explicitly nutty flavor than almond milk. Goes with everything that cow milk does, and goes better than cow milk with a lot of things, and better than any other non-cow milk I’ve ever tried (with one exception: oat milk in cereal).Get the unsweetened and unflavored kind, unless you want to rot your teeth and have diabetes. Same goes for almond milk. Both are already naturally sweet enough as it is, and if you turn your “milk” into a sugary soft drink you are not doing your body any kind of favor.I love this cashew milk so much now I could practically bathe in it, ha ha. It actually not only has more calcium than cow milk, it’s more bio-available calcium than the animal-derived calcium is, anyway. The fat content is a tiny bit higher than almond milk, but it’s better (unsaturated) fat than in cow milk. This stuff is great with cereal (even if for that one case I prefer oat milk), and I have used cashew milk in all sorts of recipes that call for cow milk, without any problems. But my primary use for this is blended shakes with unsweetened chocolate powder (I like the one from Trader Joe’s the best), and just enough chocolate syrup to cut the bitterness a bit (I prefer the Hersey’s Special Dark syrup for that). I call the result my Dark Chocolate Doom Shake, and it is kind of flavor explosion. Cashew milk is also good as a liquid base for a protein shake, though that may depend on exactly what your goal is vis-a-vis fat content, etc.ANYWAY, I generally buy Silk brand cashew milk simply because few other brands are ever to be found. When I get almond milk, I buy whichever one is cheapest, since there are usually several brands available in big stores, and they all taste about the same. In fairness, Silk prices pretty competitively, and there are times I can actually find it cheaper than other brands (at Safeway and sometimes other grocery chains; it seems to depend on how much is in stock, and various other factors). I have never had a quality complaint to make about this brand. But I only *recommend* a specific brand of anything when there’s a qualitative and consistent difference, and with this kind of product there generally isn’t. So: cashew milk = way better than alternatives for most things; Silk brand = on par with competitors.

Creamy goodness
I love how thick and creamy cashew milk is compared to almond and coconut varieties. It makes is especially good to use as a creamer in coffee and teas, especially the vanilla varieties. The consistency complements those beverages perfectly. However it certainly isn’t too sweet to use otherwise.

Best milk alternative
Cashew milk is my favorite milk alternative for things that are creamy or where milk is a main ingredient. Unlike almond milk, it doesn’t have a grainy texture. I really like to use it to make sauces and sometimes in my cereal, but if I were making a smoothie I would probably go for almond milk. It is a pretty good substitute for coconut milk if you cook it down first. Just keep in mind that it is more liquid than normal milk so you need to add less in recipes if you are substituting it for normal milk. Don’t forget to mark this helpful if it helped you. 🙂

Great mild taste
Like the product a lot. I’ve yet to find a better alternative. Nice mild taste and low calorie. It froth’s well enough too without effecting taste. You certainly have to shake it well prior to use and for me it is very hard to find. I wish Amazon still carried it.

Almost as good as milk
Of course nothing is as good as milk, but this comes close. My daughter is lactose intolerant and she loves the taste of this cashew milk more than soy or almond. She also likes how creamy it is. When I’m out of my half-and-half I will use this and I hardly notice the difference. I use it often in baking to replace the milk and I cannot tell the difference at all.
