How did you come up with the idea for this product?
Bright Planet Pet was founded on the principle that dogs and their people deserve a truly sustainable dog treat that is delicious while being 100% plant-based and vegan. Humans have meat alternative products for burgers, brats, and chicken, so why don’t dogs? We know dogs crave these flavors so we decided to innovate and be the first company to bring meat alternative treats for dogs to the market.
What makes your product special?
Our treats are unbelievably delicious while being 100% plant-based. Treating with Bright Planet helps reduce your dog’s carbon pawprint by lowering greenhouse gas emissions, water consumption, and energy usage. Every time you buy a bag, we make a donation to plant one tree.
What has been the best part of your experience?
Hearing great feedback from our customers about how much their dogs love our treats and that they can’t believe they are plant-based! We also enjoy watching out Tree Planter counter go up every quarter as we donate to plant one tree for every bag of Bright Planet treats sold.

My dogs prefer these to meat-based treats
My (medium-sized) dogs were obsessed with the beef treats I was sent for free with their kibble. I don’t want to support animal slaughter, so I sought out some plant based treats that dogs seemed to like and found these. When they arrived, I did a taste test with all three dogs, offering both the meat and the bbq chick’n treats as an option. Each dog chose the plant based treat 9/10ths of the time. They LOVE them. I’m so stoked. They smell pretty good, too. Nice and chewy without being tough. They’re also cheaper than the meat alternative.

My Chihuahua is a vegan dog. He is super treat motivated, and he is obsessed with these treats. They smell like actual beef jerky, and they have a meat quality to them. My only critique is that they dry out easily, so make sure to keep them sealed away in the bag.

my dogs can’t get enough of these treats. these treats are on the softer side for my senior chihuahua dogs, who lost most of their teeth. i’m happy that these are available for them. i recommended.
