If you are a smoothie bowl fan like me, you crave fresh unique flavors that excite the pallet and this recipe does not disappoint!Letβs move to sweet potato hash brown and crispy tofu scramble. “Plant-Based Cookbook for Beginners” is a great cookbook. I love that the author, a chef, focuses on recipes with plant-based ingredients, but she also encourages readers to enjoy the journey as they progress toward more healthy eating. In other words, it’s a guide for beginners that helps them improve a little at a time. I also love that there are lots of great recipes, including some all-time favorites, like “Vegan” banana bread, that have been adapted to a plant-based diet. Another of my favorites is “Whole Wheat Chocolate Waffles.” I’m really glad I picked up this book.

A fabulous beginner guide to plant-based cooking
I’ve been trying to lose weight, and I’m having such a hard time. My cousin told me she’s been eating a plant-based diet, mostly pasta, and suggested I try it. I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious and easy many of these recipes are to make. Plus, there is a lot of variety, so it won’t leave me wanting a burger! I recommend this cookbook for anyone trying to give up meat or vegetarian/vegan.

This book is full of a variety of healthy plant-based meals. It has foundational information for cooking and step-by-step instructions for each recipe. There are so many recipes, something everyone in the family will like, and for each meal of the day, including snacks and desserts. It also includes nutritional information. The only thing I wish it has was pictures to see what the recipe looks like.

I like that it also has desserts, snacks, and something for every meal. The recipes are great. The meal plan is great. There’s a great variety. I do wish there were pictures. I like that there are nutritional facts for the recipes. Great if you’re counting calories, carbs, or even sodium.

Very interesting and informative, covering not just recipes but good background info on reasons why a plant-based diet is good for you but also many common myths which may be off-putting.I gave up meat years ago but am getting quite bored with the same old foods, so this book offers a refreshing approach which I will be reading in more detail and following.I particularly liked the section on βhow to start plant based eatingβ which gives many great tips for meal planning, a 30 day meal plan, and LOADS of yummy recipes! I donβt like some foods like Zuchinni but there are lots of other foods I do like and some Iβm going to try.Absolutely loads and loads of yummy looking recipes for every meal (breakfast, lunch,dinner) and food types like beans, grains, smoothies, those all important snacks and my favourite β desserts!!!Lastly, the appendix covers a topic which to me is probably the most important β how to minimise / avoid foods that are heavily contaminated by pesticides (The Dirty Dozen) and foods which least likely to hold pesticide residue (Clean Fifiteen). I will definitely be keeping this list when shopping to ensure I choose wisely.

Iβm working on a healthier lifestyle and am considering shifting to a vegetarian/vegan diet. So, got this to try out some of the food and thereβs definitely plenty of recipes. Some of the ingredients may be hard to get though. Lentil sloppy joes were enjoyable.
