Not as good as the original
I loved the original VEGAN shirt by NonviolenceUnited.org, but the design has changed for the worse. The word “VEGAN” is so large that it spans shoulder to shoulder, meaning that the “V” and the “N” are not clearly visible during normal wear. Another concern is that for the price the design should be printed on a shirt that we can trust is sweat-shop free. The original shirt was printed in the U.S. by Royal Apparel. The new design is printed on a shirt made in Honduras, where labor conditions are as abysmal as the political conditions. Yet the company making the shirts, Port & Company, claims to provide excellent working conditions for their laborers. If true this would be a plus for the shirt. The brand is backed by the Fair Labor Association. But the FLA has come under criticism of United Students Against Sweatshops for having “a weak code that fails to provide for women’s rights, a living wage, the full public disclosure of factory locations….”

The fit is a little large, but I like that. The quality of printing is excellent. My Vegan friend is going to love it!

Fits perfectly and is as expected
The lettering is ever so slightly gray, so as to not be bold white. I’d say it is 20% gray 80% white. Doesn’t bother me, just something I noticed that appears different to the photo. Happy activism 🙂

Not the iconic VEGAN shirt you’re looking for.
This is not that one. You know what i’m talking about. This is a cheap knockoff that does not fit properly. The writing is also too big. The VEGAN portion will be eaten up by your armpits. Seriously, this shirt sucks. Only buy this one if you collect things that sucks.
