Makes a great sauce for vegetables.
I use protein powder in the following recipe to flavor vegetables.Tasty Low Sodium & Low Carbohydrate Recipe for Weight Reduction & Weight MaintenanceThis recipe uses many spices used in Persian cuisine as there is only so much you can do with low carbohydrate vegetables as far as flavor is concerned. Ancient Persia plays a tremendously fascinating role in providing thousands of years of flavoring expertise to make low carbohydrate vegetables more palatable and appealing.First, add two cups of water to a microwaveable ceramic bowl with a glass lid. Add in 4 heaping tablespoons of kosher organic fenugreek seeds along with 2 tablespoons each of kosher, organic powdered ginger as well as turmeric. Add in 1 tablespoon kosher olive oil as well as 1/2 tablespoon of kosher ground pepper. Place lid on microwaveable bowl & microwave for 4 minutes. Let sit for 1 hour until fenugreek seeds soften. Once cooled, transfer fenugreek seed flavoring sauce to a Tupperware container & refrigerate.Wash 3 pounds of organic broccoli thoroughly and inspect for bugs. Place 3 pounds of minced broccoli in an air fryer basket, spray lightly with kosher olive oil and air fry at 350 degrees for 4 1/2 minutes to 5 minutes. Allow to air cool. Once air cooled, place cooked broccoli in a plastic Tupperware container and refrigerate. If you don’t own an air fryer, simply place 3 pounds of broccoli in a large pot & add two cups water to pot. Place lid on pot and steam while stirring until broccoli is lightly cooked. Use a colander to drain water from broccoli.Wash 2 pounds of mushrooms & thoroughly inspect for bugs. Mince. Place 2 pounds of minced mushroom in an air fryer basket, spray lightly with kosher olive oil and air fry at 350 degrees for 8 minutes. Allow to air cool. Once air cooled, place mushrooms in a plastic Tupperware container and refrigerate. If you don’t own an air fryer, simply place mushrooms in large frying pan and sautee with olive oil until water has evaporated to a thick sauce.Next, peel 3 extra large rinsed & chilled avocados. Finely mince avocado flesh and place in a large Tupperware container & store in refrigerator. The last step is to use a large pot to mix all the ingredients. In a large pot, add the chilled avocados, chilled cooked broccoli, cooked, chilled mushrooms as well as turmeric & ginger seasoned fenugreek seed sauce. To the pot add 6 tablespoons ground flaxseed and 6 tablespoons of organic, kosher pea protein powder. Finally to the pot add 1/4 cup organic apple cider vinegar & 1/4 cup organic lemon juice.Stir the pot contents with a large spoon and transfer contents of pot to 4 or 5 Tupperware containers for refrigeration until ready to serve a meal. Now, for a nutritious low carbohydrate breakfast, fill a ceramic microwaveable cereal bowl with pre-prepared & flavored low carbohydrate vegetables and microwave for 4 minutes. Transfer the hot vegetable dish to a much larger bowl and stir in 3 tablespoons of kosher, organic psyllium whole husk powder for added fiber to help provide a feeling of satiety throughout the day. Once the whole husk psyllium powder is mixed into the vegetable dish, the vegetable breakfast bowl needs to be consumed within 8 to 10 minutes as psyllium very quickly absorbs water and becomes almost totally unpalatable if left to sit idle and is not eaten almost immediately after mixing in psyllium.Enjoy vegetable bowl with organic, kosher salsa and organic, kosher sauerkraut to taste. This vegetable bowl should be eaten with perhaps 1 ounce of kosher lamb or tofu for added protein as excessive eggs are known to cause diabetes & overall mortality risk. This breakfast meal works best for weight management if it is the last & only meal of the day. The added whole husk psyllium powder acts as an appetite suppressant, & the low carbohydrate vegetable meal prevents an upsurge of insulin that inhibits lipolysis. Furthermore, restricting meals to one per day further inhibits insulin which prevents lipolysis. Lipolysis means burning fat for energy in biological organisms.Note that the critical ingredient & step is adding in psyllium whole husk powder as psyllium whole husk powder creates a sensation of satiety through the entire day & allows one to skip both lunch as well as dinner as well as in-between snacks. Weight loss and weight maintenance is far too difficult without psyllium whole husk powder without the added satiety effect.Within one to four hours after breakfast, the following beverages may be consumed as they act as appetite suppressants.Beverage A: add two shots of organic espresso to 12 ounces organic almond milk & add stevia to taste. Makes a keto latte.Beverage B: Add one tablespoon organic lemon juice plus one tablespoon organic apple cider vinegar to a 16 ounce glass of water and add liquid stevia to taste. Add ice cubes to chill the drink.Beverage C: black coffeeYou should see immediate weight loss results if you’re also adding in a sufficient amount of exercise per day. Remember, no pain, no gain.I typically lose 1/3 pound per day with a 45 minute bicycle ride right after breakfast. I still get very mild hunger pains consisting of stomach grumbling around 5-7 pm, but I typically sip on apple cider & lemon juice flavored stevia sweetened water to make very minor hunger pains go away.I still have a sweet tooth to satisfy after breakfast, so I eat a few slices of stevia sweetened organic almond flour chocolate cake along with almond butter & stevia sweetened chia seed pudding for desert.Ingredients for keto low carb chocolate cake Recipe:3 eggs1 1/2 cups organic almond flour1/2 cup organic almond milk2 tablespoons psyllium whole husk powder -organic1/4 cup organic walnutsStevia to taste2 1/2 teaspoons baking powderBake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes & allow to cool in oven for 30 minutesRecipe for Keto low carb Chia seed pudding:1/2 cup organic chia seed1/2 cup organic cacao powderStevia to taste2 cups hot organic almond milkFirst heat 2 cups almond milk & then stir in other ingredients & chill in refrigerator when cooled. The key ingredient for the vegetable stir fry is psyllium whole husk fiber as psyllium greatly slows down the absorption of the meal so the meal lasts an entire 24 hours without major hunger pains even when exercise is added in.Sent from my iPhoneSent from my iPhoneSent from my iPhoneSent from my iPhone

Unflavored pea protein; good value, inoffensive taste
I bought this product to try a non-milk protein to see if it helps my skin. I went with the unflavored version because I’m cheap and you get 15 more servings for the same price (it’s sold by weight, so 5lb without flavorings goes further).I was worried about the flavor after reading some reviews, and I will say I agree that it’s a little chalky. I mixed a serving with 10 ounces of water and it was noticeable but not overwhelming. Some people say they taste peas, I don’t get that at all. The flavor is essentially neutral in my opinion– it’s boring but totally drinkable. If you’re someone that needs it to taste good then flavored versions or mixing it with something would work well (although I can’t speak to the flavor of those). Personally, I think people over-fixate on eliminating sugar; unless you’re trying to cut to ridiculously low body fat a marginal amount of calories from a few grams of sugar isn’t going to hurt you.Overall, it does as advertised and is very good value for the price. It’s hard to find protein powder that has >25g protein for under a buck a serving. I initially rated this at four stars, but maybe this is as good as unflavored pea protein can be (I have no idea), so I’m rating it five.

Use unsweetened applesauce to neutralize the Pea flavor
I love that this is clean protein without any added chemicals. The unflavored, on its own has a terrible flavor – it tastes exactly like smashed peas. I don’t know what I expected since it’s nothing but pea protein, but the flavor is a tough one to get past. I don’t use the protein for smoothies – I put it in unflavored yogurt to boost the protein. To mask the taste I add a tablespoon of unsweetened applesauce and a quick sprinkle of cinnamon. That neutralizes the pea flavor perfectly – I end up with yogurt that doesn’t taste like apple, but it doesn’t taste like peas anymore

Clean ingredients
I love that this product does not contain alternative sweeteners like stevia or monk fruit as I can not eat those and finding protein power or drinks without it is hard. The taste takes getting used to but in a smoothy with a banana and cinnamon it tastes great. I have lost 20 pounds since using this to make a morning protein shake. Keeps me full till early afternoon. I have bought chocolate, double chocolate and vanilla. Recommend all but I use double chocolate the most.

It was definitely a challenge just to break the seal of the screw-on lid; you really have to give it a good hard turn to break that first point of contact. I was happy to see that it had a second seal covering the opening. I blended approximately 800 mL of water with five scoops of the fine protein powder (the static electricity is normal) I added four slices of banana just to add a little bit of taste and four pieces of avocado. The blending process was easy and no clumps or grittiness were present afterwards. The taste is actually very bland but not bad at all. If you’re used to sweetness, as is in a lot of protein powders, this will definitely be a shock because there’s absolutely no taste of sweetness. It reminded me a little bit of eating Pablum when I was a child, which I don’t mind the taste of.I emailed [email protected], to ask when the Canadian online store would be up and running and what was the name of the company that tests their products. According to Jeffrey A. Quinones, Naked Nutrition uses Eurofins Scientific, located in the USA, for their third-party testing and unfortunately, they do not have any updates as to when their Canadian online store will be running. This perturbed me because Naked Nutrition offers a 20% discount if you sign up and give them your mobile number but then cannot honour it because they have no Canadian online store. They should not be offering discounts until they can honour them. The yellow pea protein powder is an isolate that is completely free of additives, artificial sweeteners, thickeners, emulsifiers, etc., it’s just yellow pea protein powder. More important, is how it is processed. Naked ensures no contamination occurs from chemical detergents, synthetic additives, or heavy metals. It has great posted lab results if you are concerned with heavy metals in the product; the Arsenic is 20 times lower than the limits set by the AHPA. I guess peas aren’t subject to too much heavy metal absorption. Keep in mind heavy metals are in everything we eat.So, the true question is would I buy it again? I definitely think so I like the fact that there is no other crap in it and that it is simply one ingredient, yellow pea protein. It has all but one of the essential amino acids; by adding hemp you complete the essential amino acid profile.

Tastes like an early Joe Weider formula I used to favour. However there is no vanilla taste to this product at all which is very disappointing. Guess I’ll be stuck with ordering the one without vanilla next time.

Absolutely horrible taste. Tasting it on its own, it’s a little salty / savory. It also has a somewhat pasty texture out of the container. When mixed in liquid, the chalky taste never goes away. You can add all kinds of flavors to mask the taste, but the chalkiness never goes away. Had 2 servings…sadly, ready to throw it out.

After trying many other vegan protein shake options, this has become my go-to, due to its lack of fillers, artificial sweeteners, and other unnecessary additives. Chocolate Peanut Butter is absolutely delicious— it’s like drinking liquified peanut butter cups!! The Chocolate flavour is quite good also. The unflavoured version is suitable if you’re blending it with berries, cocoa, and/or coconut sugar – really anything to give it some sweetness – otherwise it’s not very palatable (but that’s to be expected I think!).

Ordered this protein as a replacement for my regular nuzest, which has now gone up to £50 a kg!This tastes really bad, even when blended with all sorts the bitter taste remains. I’m struggling to choke any of this down and am likely to bin the rest which is a massive shame.
