Customers say
Customers find the solar watering can lights beautiful, particularly when lit up, and appreciate that they last from dusk till dawn. Moreover, the product is easy to assemble. However, the functionality receives mixed reviews – while some say they light up nicely, others report they don’t light up at all. Additionally, the build quality is poor, with customers noting the pole isn’t sturdy enough, and the size is smaller than expected. Furthermore, customers consider the product not worth the money.

The video doesn’t do it justice
Beautiful little water cans with a cute little double Shepard hook. I used existing hangers on my cottage (guest house) because the last hurricane in SE Texas took out my solar decorations. But these should be durable, they’re lightweight, beautifully bright, and literally took my breath away the first time I went out to see them. They charged in about 3 hours. I’m going to order a set for my friend’s birthday. She’s fun! She’ll love these, too.

Beautiful!
I have purchased several and I bought this that are not the clear color ones! I actually bent the wires! Because where I placed them they are too long for the planters! They look Amazing! This come in a set of two together one is taller than the other one but they are both the same size! I have received so many compliments from my neighbors! I told them where I had bought them! And I have noticed that I am no longer the one with this beautiful lights! Yes the are quite of few houses that have them now! And they were purchased at Amazon! Quality is the best! Price is great for the quality! And I love the way they look at night and even in the day when they are not on! The only difference between the color ones and the clear lights is that water is clear! But the workmanship is Amazing! We get really strong winds where I live and they have held up perfectly! And the added bonus is how beautiful the actual canister that has cut outs, stars, moons, and other options! Beside having the metal wires that hang down to look like it’s coming out of the canister the inside light shows through the canister an added bonus because whatever design you pick it comes through beautifully! Assembly is totally simple! They look Amazing! I highly recommend them! And they stay on for for most of the night! And they don’t get corroded! I really wish that I could post a picture! When I get someone that is more technology savvy I will! All I can say is they are Amazing!

Update!!
I’ve ordered and used many solar light strings with no issues. These watering can lights are cute but the ones I received just do not work. I’ve tried everything to get them to charge and actually light at night but no luck. They just do not light. I’m old. Not up for the work and travel involved in packing them up and returning them. Finally got them working. Lovely. BUT, I must suggest a different construction for the on/off/change pattern switch. On all my other solar lights, the switches are easy and work well. The switch on this one needs help.

Lovely
These are beautiful at night. They really show up. I definitely brought it in for the winter and I’m just wondering how many years it will last I don’t think it’s gonna be real durable.

Doesn’t work. Unreliable, poor directions, poor implementation, or all three.
I really wanted to like this product, and logically it ought to work very well. Despite trying many variations, only one of the two units worked and that was only once.Using it should be very simple. It’s a solar cell chargeable battery, some LED lights (with built-in decoding), and interestingly, a very clever controller. Only two wires connect to a string of LEDs, the wires carry DC power and control signals that tell the associated LED when to turn on and take power from the wires, thus enabling different active displays. The controller has several programs that cause the lights to make interesting patterns. It realizes this by sending multiplexed signals to the LEDs along the same wires with power. I have some similar seasonal lights (that work with the same principle) which are powered by disposable batteries, rather than solar powered. They produce great displays, and almost everyone that see them wants to know how to get some for themselves. I thought these Watering Can lights would work similarly, just be solar powered. There is a push button switch on the controller/solar collector unit. Engraved in the plastic housing is an explanation of the switch function. It shows two toggle positions, one pressed in and one popped out corresponding to “On” and “Off”. Regrettably, the actual switch does not work this way. It is ONLY a momentary push on type (it does not have a mechanical toggle). The minimal printed instruction sheet directs, “Switch: Short press to turn on, Long press to turn off”. It also directs, “When using this product for the first time, please turn ON the light and fully charge it in the sun. However, If the battery is fully discharged (so the controller can’t function) and there is no mechanical on/off toggle, only momentary push, it is not possible to determine an off/on state. On the assumption that a mechanical toggle on/off switch is unnecessary and the unit can always be ON for charging and display, the units were placed in strong direct sunlight for a day. Upon being brought into a dark room, one of the lights immediately began running one of the 8 programs (without needing a button push). Pushing the button moved through the 8 programs. I did not turn it off with a “long push”, just let it run. This was the one and only time this unit worked. The other unit exposed to the same conditions as the first never turned on.Both units have been exposed to direct sunlight for several full days, yet never came on at darkness or with button pushes.I’m going to give them one more day, with exposure to strong artificial light. If they don’t work then, I plan to return before the return window closes. As I wrote earlier, I really wanted these to work …
