BEST GREEN DYE! Fade-Resistant! Beautiful true Pine Green color
Manic Panic GREEN ENVY color – This is my favorite green color of all the green dyes I’ve ever tried! It’s a great pine green/emerald green! Not too light (hate neon or light greens) and not too dark (hate when they show up like black). It’s vibrant while also being a nice forest green color (not teal, it’s like a true green).I have natural 6-7 level hair (light brown/dark blond) and just dye this over my virgin hair. And you can see it NEVER FADES. It’s like permanent hair color that grows out! I dyed my hair like MONTHS ago and it’s still going strong, like the day I dyed it! You can tell by my substantial roots. As you can see from my photos, it’s really growing out and hasn’t faded AT ALL. Over virgin hair! The way I get it to stay that way is by using a clarifying or salicylic acid shampoo (no conditioner), blow dry my hair (heat helps open the cuticle), and then I just mush it into my dry hair (cream color is so much easier to use than liquid box dye). Then I put a shower cap over it and use a hair dryer again for about 10-15 min in order to let the heat help set it. Then (and I imagine this is the most important part) I leave it in for over 6 hours, or cover it and my bed with towels and leave it in overnight. When I wash it out, I let the water turn clear and then ONLY use conditioner to wash my hair.Yes it stains my skin, so I use gloves. If I’m not careful it stains my ears, the skin under my side shave, and my neck. But double cleansing my skin with an oil and then some kind of soap gets the worst stains out. And the rest of the stains (like my scalp which I don’t touch because I can’t clean that without washing the fresh dye out of my hair) fades within a few days. But I’m also an oily person so that might have something to do with it. You could always use Vaseline to cover your ears and neck if you’re really worried about stains on your skin. Also, after the initial staining from dyeing my hair, it doesn’t really stain anything else. My towels are green so a little green hair dye bleeding from wet hair isn’t noticable. And my pillow cases are charcoal so any color bleeding from my sweaty head at night doesn’t ruin them. And then my hair stays vibrant and beautiful until it grows out! My hair is even greasy in these pics (and as a man being on testosterone, my hair gets get greasy pretty fast)… hence the braiding to keep it out of my face. And greasy hair sometimes looks darker. But you can tell by my roots that the green color is still vibrant and hasn’t faded at all!Unfortunately, I see this color is becoming increasingly difficult to find and is “out of stock” in a lot of places. Also manic panic discontinued the amplified version – which isn’t such a big deal because actually I think the classic comes out better and has better staying power. But that’s not a good sign from a retail perspective. Since manic panic literally has NO OTHER true greens in their line (even “enchanted forest” is TEAL, not GREEN like an actual forest), that SUCKS. So I might have to experiment with some other brands. But as long as they still make this and I can get a hold of it, I’ll always buy Green Envy by manic panic because it’s the best vibrant dark-ish true pine green and it’s fade-resistance is unparalleled.

Loveee the color! Application is super easy.
So I got the dreamsicle color. I actually didn’t expect it to be so pretty. Also I think I probably needed 1 more container of dye since some areas of my hair wasn’t covered. On top is how the color will look on freshly bleach hair. The bottom of my hair I also bleached but there was a faint blue tint that never left my hair from the previous dye job. This is why it looks like 2 different colors in my hair but to my surprise it worked out so well. Just dyed it on Christmas Eve and I got so many compliments. Super easy to apply, I’ll update how long it takes to rinse out. Merry Christmas everyone ❤️

Best dye ever, my steps are listed below
I 100% recommend this product. & here’s how I use it:For starters let me tell you that where the pink is in the picture was professionally bleached a year ago prior to me dying my hair bright colors. This pink isn’t over my brown hair that’s showing at the top, it definitely gives a pink hue but won’t make it vibrant (and I don’t use it for that). So I highly recommend getting a professional to bleach/lighten your hair first where you want color. Here’s my process:I apply the jar to my hair. For me it takes about 2 jars because my hair is long. I try to let it sit for 30 minutes. Then I take a shower. I do not let the water run clear. I shampoo my scalp with my back to the water and my hair in front to try not to rinse my pink ends. Then I grab conditioner & brush my hair in the shower & then rinse out the globs of dye. When I get out of the shower my hair is still dripping bright pink dye and my bathtub looks like a crime scene but it’s worth it. Also my hands are stained due to me not using gloves when I rinse it in the shower. Rubbing alcohol gets this off your counter, skin (just be careful). I purposely keep some extra dye in my hair to let it absorb through the next 24 hours because my vivid hairdresser recommended that. Now I keep my hair in a towel for a little while so my hair isn’t soaking wet. & then I’ll try to throw it up or put it in a braid because it will transfer onto your skin, back, shirt. So wear dark clothes the first day. After 3-4 days since I dyed it, it stops transferring onto you & your clothes. & even during those 3-4 days it transfers less and less. At this point I still haven’t washed it… I don’t wash it for 1 & a 1/2 weeks. For anyone with greasy hair that says they can’t wait, trust me I know. Dry shampoo is your friend (batiste is a good one). I’ll wrap my hair in bandanas etc. 1 you want to not wash your hair so frequently because the ends are dry and not getting the oil, and 2 you don’t want to waste this vibrant pretty color. Embrace your greasy hair, it took me awhile but I did. I apply the color every time or every other time I was my hair because I like it super saturated without any fading. It doesn’t fade horribly if you wash a few times before reapplying but you’ll notice it’s not as vibrant. Now I’ve tried many hair dyes because I wanted less maintenance and longer lasting dye.. there isn’t. Splat looked like crap and damaged my hair. Ion brights wasn’t as bright. I just haven’t found anything else better. Even when my hairdresser dyed my hair this bright color, it didn’t last more than a few washes without fading. So it’s expected! I hope this helps, but yes I recommend this product and think it’s the best for achieving this bright hair color look.

    Good color
Worked very well. I have ginger hair and it made it a nice brown color without too abrupt of a change. It dosnt come out too easily and the container can last 3-4 times on shorter hair.

Love the color and mixes well with other dyes if u want a darker color very easy to work with as it is a think creamy base and doesn’t stain skin like other manic panic colors .. would definitely buy again.. FYI u most have very light almost white hair for it to work will not show up in light blonde or dirty blonde hair

I have used many similar products, including regular Manic Panic, but this was truly disappointing. I tried it twice, thinking I’d missed something the first time. The second time I left it on until it almost dried – about three hours. I have a mixture of honey blond (bleached and toned) and white hair, and no one on the street would know I’d done anything. If I pointed it out, you would have a hard time believing I had dyed it and was not just getting the reflection of a nearby object. Based on the description and pictures I had such high hopes, but this was a complete waste of time and money.

It’s been at least 15 years since the last time I used this brand. I can say they really improved their formula. After applying it and rinsing for the first time, I was surprised it wasn’t messy at all and the water was clear in seconds.I do recommend with the Mystic Heather to go to the lightest blonde you can, since it doesn’t cover light brown/ orange brassy bleaching.Where my hair is the lightest the color is so vibrant, I love it.

So the tubs look so tiny! I bought 2 just incase. But i managed to do my entire head with a quarter of the tub left.Im currently sitting waiting it out.If you dont have gloves dont worry the dye comes off with soap and water and a tiny but of a scrub. I just have a purple tint around my nails now.Ive even got some on my eyebrows!I already know this is going to look amazing. But people please remember if you want it to last longer. Wash your hair less. Wash with sulfate free shampoo and conditioner aswell as only using cool water on your hair. Otherwise it will fade really quick like all hair dye does.Since its semi permanent it only coats your hair strands.I had a balayage done in july (black and purple) Ive let it faded out now its time to redye! Ive done my entire head hoping for a dark purple tint to a lighter purple since it faded out to a light brassy brown.

I love this brand, because they are cruelty free products.I have bought the pink and the purple in this brand and they are such amazing colours. 🤩What I must say firstly, I have corse thick hair and I’m grey in patches too. My hair doesn’t take well to semi permanent colours. So I have my hairdresser pre bleach my fringe. By pre bleaching, it opens up the cuticles of the hair and enables it to grab hold of the colour much better than trying to apply colour straight onto the hair. The colour needs re applying every 2 weeks to pre damp hair for 20mins and washed out. I haven’t tried this on non bleached hair or on my natural colour hair so I can’t tell you how well it will react and take to your hair.My hair grows super fast, and just getting my fringe bleached by a professional and it hasn’t damaged my hair. This product hasn’t caused any problems to my hair or scalp.Have fun by adding colour to your hair 🥰.
