    Fresh Ingredients and Light Recipes
So far I’ve made the Fall Harvest Scrambled Eggs from this cookbook and find the instructions very clear, and the meal was light and bright and seasonal. Looking forward to trying more recipes from this book!

  2. VCEF

    Love it
Mostly vegetarian and gluten free recipes but my favorite is the two pages in the middle that include various sauces, and dressings, all from things I usually have in the house. I don’t use bottled crap anymore that contains bad fats and chemicals. Fun book with great photos.

Chock full of innovative yet simple to prepare plant based dishes
Let’s begin but stating that this is a big cookbook loaded chock full of recipes- over a 100 which would make it a great choice for anyone looking for a comprehensive guide to a mostly plant based diet ( note it’s not vegan as it does include eggs and butter in some recipes ) or a beginner book. After beginning with some guides to plant based protein, grains and legumes, managing waste and some basic tips, there are ten different chapters : Breakfast; Snacks and Starters; Soups; Salads; Dinner; Side Dishes; Desserts; Drinks; Homemade Extras and Essential Sauces and Spreads. The thing I like most about this book is the fact that it keeps it simple in terms of ingredients, recipes and equipment needed which makes this book accessible to all. It is simple to follow and many recipes are very quick to prepare. One of my favorite chapters is the snacks and starters as there are so many simple ideas that are easy to whip up: a beet dip, easy to make almond cheese, queso made of butternut squash. There are also a great selection of unique soups such as lemon miso spring greens and lasagna soup with vegan ricotta. There is also a great idea to make stock with left over scraps. There are some innovative salads that are perfect for the summer and not the typical ones you sees in other cookbooks. And the same applies to the main dishes and sides – they are not the usual run of the mill and are dishes I want to make! I included a picture of the cauliflower gratin which was a quick make and delicious. It is a side but I found it filling enough to use as a main.Among the desserts is a great page full of little data balls you can make to keep on hand and there are just enough recipes which I like as many vegan books seem to be over indexed in this area. This is followed by a great drink section which contains both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks and I love the section on extras – vegan ricotta salsas and simple snacks, sauces and dips. This is probably the most innovative vegan cookbook I own; that wins this with simple ingredients and recipes. It’s loaded with bright, colorful pictures to demonstrate the end result and is a book I will use often.

    This is a winner
I made the zucchini, tofu, black bean enchiladas tonight. So yummy. I am not really a vegan cook. Vegetarian, yes. I wasn’t sure about the cashew cream, but I made it. Very tasty. I have tons of recipes earmarked to make. I am trying to eat more plant-based meals, so I am happy with this purchase. The recipes make sense, are not complicated, and don’t have crazy ingredients. I am looking forward to cooking through this book!

  5. CSWJ

It’s a great cookbook but the recipes don’t include timing.
The recipes do not include the timing need to prepare the ingredients, etc. Love and Lemons online recipes to include this which is helpful for planning.

    Add to your collection!
This is a beautiful cookbook with great family recipes. I think the book is written well and easy to follow, even for people who don’t cook too often. Food tastes great!

  7. wrdnrd

    Lovely variety
I made my first recipe last night for pizza dough. It was simple and easy to follow. None of the ingredients were unusual but it pulled together a really amazing crust with a lot of personality. The entire cookbook is gorgeous. The recipes look amazing and i can’t wait to dive in and make a bunch more.

  8. Kindle Customer

    Many yummy recipes!
Such a cute cookbook with lots of yummy options! Great for summer

  9. J. Doerr

We are eating less meat – just like many others, so having more veggie options is really great. Can;t wait to taste some

  10. Kart

I have a lot of vegetarian cookbooks, but this is the tastiest and most accessible of them all. I have tried a lot of different recipes and it has been spot on every lemony time. It has a mega chapter of various sauces and easy guidelines for additional doughs and soup broths with a easy section of quick various non-bake balls.

  11. Jan Edwards Dunn

A useful addition to the cookbook collection of vegetarians and vegans too. Beautifully laid out and photographed.

  12. apressky

Je n’ai pas encore testé les recettes mais le livre est magnifique

  13. Ximena

Si solo pudiera tener un libro de cocina, este sería el libro. Están increíbles las recetas. Solo hay vegetarianas y veganas, pero todo es delicioso. Super recomendable.
