I’ve been vegan for a year now and also been watching the author’s content for almost two years and have been WAITING to get this cookbook.I love the island ingredients as it reminds me of my time in Jamaica and the Caribbean. I will be trying every one of these recipes. The information is straight forward and rhetorical pictures are so helpful. This book is an exact replica of what is being shown on social media. I love that most ingredients I have in my pantry already and also the key thing I enjoy about this is the sauce recipes if we want to make them from scratch .I made the coconut/chocolate chip cookies and when I say they were one of the best cookies I’ve made!!! Thank you for this.

Well worth the money if you want to diversify your recipes
The diversity of the foods… nothing is the same. The recipes are fairly easy to follow and easy to substitute items if you don’t eat certain things. I’ve tried one thing from atleast 2 sections.. my fav is the trini doubles. very flavorful. Definitely recommend.

I absolutely enjoyed this cook book! The recipes are bursting with flavours from the islands and are easy to make if you want to try something vegan. It is definitely a perfect birthday or Christmas gift for a foodie. I especially enjoyed the pulled jerk BBQ sliders with the calypso potatoes , so vibrant and comforting ! A family favourite from now on. I am happy that the instructions are straightforward with a photo of the expected results . I am not the best cook but I feel like I did a really good job making a lot of these recipes … my family approves.

So, I’ve never actually owned a cookbook before, whether physical or digital, as I’ve always leaned towards blogs, social media or YouTube for recipes. But, when I saw Lloyd announce on Instagram that he was launching his own cookbook, I didn’t even hesitate to pre-order. And let me tell you, I have ZERO regrets!I’m still pretty new to cooking and exploring plant-based meals, but Lloyd’s page has always stood out to me because of the Caribbean twist he brings to his dishes. As someone from the Caribbean living abroad, flipping through this cookbook felt like coming home. The recipes are creative yet approachable, and they beautifully capture the flavours and soul of our culture. I can already tell that this will be a staple in my kitchen 🤤The pictures are stunning and are the kind that make you feel hungry just looking at them (my picture doesn’t do it justice). Also, the personal photos at the beginning and end add such a warm and heartfelt touch. While I thoroughly enjoyed the concept of the book and appreciated the thought that went into crafting the recipes, I was a bit disappointed with the presentation of the dishes. The earlier sections lacked the visual appeal I was hoping for, though the presentation improved significantly in the latter pages. I would have preferred a more consistent approach throughout the book. That said, I’m excited to try the recipes and see how they turn out.I would recommend this book to all vegans, regardless of your level of cooking experience. Whether you’re a beginner or more advanced, it’s a great resource – after all, everyone has to start somewhere.

These creative recipes have simple ingredients that will elevate everyday meals. It’s a must-have in every kitchen even if you’re non-vegan!I got his first cookbook Crazy Good Vegan and couldn’t wait for Island Vegan to be released. It’s a great gift to share, especially with Christmas around the corner. A real gem! I highly recommend!
