Best dog food
My dog has been fed halo all her life and has never had a health issue. (11 years old). She loves it and that’s the most important part

Quality but contains pork
While this is a really good quality food, I was unable to feed it to my dog, as it contains pork. He’s extremely sensitive to pork products.

Loved by both dogs
We have two dogs, a black lab and a golden retriever. The sample size bag was not large enough for us to do a full transition for either dog so instead they have been allowed to taste test it with us using individual kibbles as occasional treats. Our golden is a bit of a picky eater, and after giving the first few a good sniffing, she accepted. Both now happily take them just like they’re any other treat.The ingredients look to be quality based on the packaging, but as with most dog foods, it’s hard to know how the ingredients are actually obtained or processed.I’m giving four stars since my dogs like it and it hasn’t made them sick, but since we didn’t get enough to run a full course test and judge their body’s reactions to it, I can’t give it a five.

good value, really good quality dog food, nice/interesting US-based company
We got this dog food to add some variety into our dog’s diet. He is an active, high energy working dog. We currently feed him Purina One True Instinct, which is readily available at most grocery stores as well as Walmart and Target. That dog food is free of added fillers and artificial flavors, so when looking for additional dog food to add some variety, we wanted to look for something with a similar all-natural composition.This Halo elevate dog food is really good in that respect – with no fillers, no artificial colors and flavors, and natural ingredients. It is about as all-natural as you can get, basically raw ingredients that are freeze dried and coated so they are shelf stable. Additionally, our dog seems to like it. He doesn’t prefer one food over the other. While we won’t be switching from Purina One since it is easier to find in stores, we will look into continuing to augment with this Halo brand dog food from time to time.We took pictures of the kibble size for comparison. The purina is on the left, the Halo is in the middle. We think it is small enough that large dogs won’t choke on it from just swallowing their food, and small dogs (with good teeth) should be fine eating it.Last thing, I recommend checking out the Halo website for info on the brand and company. Good story about it being a small US-based company of pet owners looking for the best nutrition for their pets.

Quality food for dogs
My dog ended up being allergic to something in this food, which is surprising since none of the listed ingredients are a known allergen for her.Gave the bag to a friend who supplemented their dog’s normal food with this and they said the dog loved it.Food looked to be of good quality. I didn’t try it to get an opinion on the flavor, but 2 dogs appeared to enjoy it.

Flavorful and odor free
This dog food comes in a resealable package, allowing me to keep it fresh at all times. It is odor free and has a nice flavorful smell to it. My dog seem to like it very much. The ingredients are very healthy and quality made.

Made my dog sick!
I got this and gave my dog some after checking the ingredients and checking to make sure it was made in the USA. Within an hour of feeding it to her she was bloated, throwing up, and she was drinking excessive amounts of water. It was almost like the dog food was sitting on her stomach swelling to double in size but not breaking down at all (see pic). The first dark brown piece is an uneaten regular size piece of dogfood and the second lighter brown piece is what she has been throwing up. If you look at it, it has doubled in size but no break down. Please be careful what you feed your furbabies. I thought I did my due diligence buy checking it for real ingredients, no grains and made in the USA, but even that can get you. Beware!!

My Dog Really Enjoyed This!
I added a quarter scoop each time my dog ate (twice a day). He seemed to really enjoy this! I can’t attest to the flavor but overall he seemed really happy to get a little different flavor to his regular food. He currently eats Fromm and while he’ll continue to eat that as his normal food, I might buy a small bag of this and add it in on occasion. One thing I absolutely loved about it was the ability to close the bag. Instead of the normal seal, which can sometimes be hard to get exactly right, it had a velcro like hook which would connect no matter if it was slightly misaligned. I wish more dog food bags would be made like that!
