Not good
Been buying this food for a long time but lately it’s been moldy and now all this white spots everywhere. I opened 4 cans from a new case and all like this. Will be contacting for a refund. I am not feeding my dog this. Not sure exactly what it is but I know for sure it’s not supposed to look like this. It’s a shame because it’s been good food for her and now I’ll have to look somewhere else.

I have spent 2 years trying to find some sort of dog food that won’t break the bank, that’s made with dog health in mind, and that my dogs actually like. having said that, I was truly skeptical about buying this, simply because of the price. I mean, it’s dog food, they all look the same. But. it’s. awesome. I started off by mixing in a spoon full of it into their regular food, and for the first time ever my dogs were cleaning their plates. its got chunks of real vegetables in it, and in combination with the dried food (also Halo, I mix the salmon with the lamb) my dogs are eating like kings and queens: 3 types of meat, 15 types of veggies & fruits…wow.I’m totally in love with this brand. I have switched over EVERYTHING, their treats, their dry food and their wet food.if halo comes out with a flavored water supplement for dogs, I’ll probably buy that too. its just a great brand, reliable, and with a conscience.

We have 2 maltese and a canardly (cuz you canardly tell what kind of dog she is) and it’s their dog food of choice every morning. They see me get the can and wait sorta patiently until it’s served when they can scarf it down. The beef flavor is their favorite. You can see peas and carrots in there too. They simply love it!

If only it would have worked…
I wanted this wonderful food to work for Sheldon, but even a teaspoon added to his lamb and rice kibble gave us not so good results. I wonder if he is just too little to try it…he is 4 months old. Anyway, we may try it again when he is older because it seems like such a good quality food and that is what we strive to feed him. I do have to say I was surprised when I opened the can. I was expecting a chunky stew type food but it isn’t. It is a course puree with chunks of vegetable in it and that was fine with me too. Also, he loved it! If only it would have loved him back.

New recipe is not a winner
My dog is extremely picky. He really loved the lamb stew that was in the purple can (old recipe). He hates the new recipe and I have to fight to get him to eat it. The new recipe is much firmer than the previous one and has less veggies mixed in. I have tried adding in water to soften it and I even microwave it to soften it up. He still doesn’t like it. It also smells different. It just smells like the lamb kibbles got softened up and added in to stretch it, or something. My dog is offered kibbles as well, but usually leaves those and eats the wet food, unless he has an extremely hard exercise session of running that day.He likes the turkey and salmon recipe (which replaced the succulent salmon) and the wholesome chicken. Both of which are much softer and have more veggies. I like to mix in a can of each through out the week to keep my dog interested.I have no idea why they changed the lamb recipe. It’s a great company and they have a great product. It took me over a year to find something that my dog would actually eat because he has reflux. I liked the lamb because it’s easier on his digestive system than other proteins. This was the only food that he would willingly go for. It’s a disappointment.

My dog loves this food, but shame on me for not double checking the quantity shipped. It’s ONE unit EACH, not a 6-pack or so. Yes, $23 dollars for 1 can. This will be returned, I’d like my 23 dollars back so I can purchase 12 actual small cans. This seller deserves to be taken off Amazon for swindling people- they purposely set the price to be close to/same as what others sell the can packs at, so that someone shopping in a hurry buys without looking twice.Side note- the Halo brand food is great.

I started feeding my four terriers Halo wet and dry food about three years ago and WOW what a difference. We switched from Merrick. They look super healthy, have shiny coats, and have had no health issues. I love that Halo contains fruits and vegetables which have been proven to decrease the risk of cancer. Responsibly sourced ingredients from the USA. You get what you pay for, folks. Spend the extra money on quality food and avoid pricey vet bills. We foster rescue dogs and have never had a problem with picky eaters, either, so it must taste good. You can visibly see the difference in the rescue dogs when they go from eating cheap unhealthy kibble to Halo. I’m so glad I found this brand and highly recommend it.
