Wonderful recipes but not so easy for a teen chef
I initially bought this book to fill a void in the cookbook collection in my Middle School’s library. I loved it so much I bought a copy for myself. The book has beautiful photographs and so far the 6 recipes I made have been winners. I do think the recipes are not for a beginner teen cook though.

Great tasting recipes
I’m a practiced cook new to a vegan diet. Need to learn how to make things taste as I’d like using ingredients don’t know well. I’m unsure if this is a good teenage cookbook but I can say my husband, not a vegan, and I both have enjoyed the recipes so far. Hopefully, over time, I’ll be able to extrapolate from them to make my own dishes tho I know we’ll repeat these.

Easy to prepare, fabulous taste
My teens borrowed this book from the library, and the recipes were all five stars, every one we tried. Unique and unexpected flavor combinations, not too many ingredients or too many difficult steps. Great for teens or any cook. We had to buy it because we were making more recipes than would fit in the library loan period.

Get this!
This cookbook has become my favorite plant based book. I have many, many others . I really use cookbooks for ideas and some of the recipes are good as written, this one however for me has proven to be exceptional. I’ve made quite a few recipes and all are great!! You just can’t go wrong

My favorite cookbook! (And I have a lot)
As many people do, I own a lot of cookbooks. And have borrowed many of them from the library over the years. Most cookbooks have 3-10 recipes that really look interesting and that actually tastes really good. I borrowed this book from the library because it caught my eye. And I made several recipes from it. All of them were amazingly good! And looking through the book, there are very few recipes that don’t appeal to me. That is rare. My library book is due next week and this one is well worth owning so I’m buying it!

Yum! Not just for teens!
I borrowed this from my library because the beautiful pictures caught my eye. I immediately made the Three-bean Mole-style Chili. I don’t usually like chili but it looked so good and it was so easy to make (chopping the onions was the hardest part!) that I decided to give it a shot. OMGoodness. So delicious!! I *love* chili!I’m not particularly a ‘foodie’ so I don’t have a well-stocked cupboard, but what I didn’t have on hand I easily found at the grocery store.I wasn’t going to buy this (because I’m not really into buying books) but was going to write down which recipes I wanted to try because, let’s face it, most cookbooks are full of recipes that we have no intention of trying. But honestly, I got about half way through and nearly every page had a sticky tab, so I thought, ‘heck with it, that’s too much writing!’The recipes are divided into Weeknight Wonders, Weekend Feasts, Globally inspired meals, Salads/Sides/and Snacks, Breakfast, and Desserts. But there are also a few nice topping recipes like Tofu Ricotta, Green Onion salsa, Mango salsa… Yum! Tips and serving suggestions are also frequently found with the recipes. It looks like every recipe has a beautiful full-color, full-page picture on glossy paper.I can’t wait till my own copy arrives and I make my next dish. Hmmm… should I make the Caramelized Shallot and Wild Mushroom Pizza or the Sheet Pan Gnocchi Alla Norma?

You are made of what you eat.
I purchased the Kindle edition of Elaine’s book and i am amazed how a teen girl wrote so many recipes. My wife cooked one and it was delicious. Healthy food is necessary also for octogenarians to maintain good physical and mental health. Five stars for Elaine’s book,
