All natural ingredients, easy to prepare and my dogs love this . I serve them the vegetables in the morning and at supper time. I also add chicken for a protein and fish oil every day on their plate with the vegetables. I give this five out of five stars, it very nutritional for my dogs. I highly recommend trying this. All you have to do is add water to the vegetables and warm them up.

I have been using Dr. Harvey’s Dehydrated Base Mix since a few years now and like the ease of creating a raw food for my pets that I feel is good for them and that they love the taste. They go crazy when it is time to eat and gobble it up. For my dog Finn he was a picky eater until I started feeding him Dr Harvey veg to bowl and also I mix in a scoop of the raw vibrance now he can’t wait until I put the bowl down.

I just received my bag today via Amazon. I was intrigued by the reviews and decided to give it a try, b/c I love my dogs. Abby the mini-schnauzer and Wessie, the West Highland. I fixed a small container this afternoon and put about 1.5 TBL on each dogs dinner. To say they loved it is an understatement. Both of them licked their bowls clean enough to put away without washing ( I did wash them with hot, soapy water). Abby, who is food-centric, picked up the plastic container I mixed the Veg to Bowl container, took it to the Great room, and spent 10 min. licking every nook and cranny to get every speck of the food. We’ll start slowly, no tummy upsets or poop problems, but I think this will be a great addition to their nutrition. This weekend I will add grilled ground chicken or turkey and then some scrambled egg. I use omega 3 salmon oil too. If you love your pet as much as we do, please give it a try. Only one day, but 5 stars off the chart, according to my dogs. And while I thought it was very expensive, I think it will be a reasonable, healthy addition to their overall health and well-being. Please try it and give you own assessment. The website reached out to me to get back to them with any questions. I’ve had dogs for over 40 years, and no one has ever provided this level of support and follow up. Well done, Alexis and the staff at Dr. Harvey’s. I am so glad I gave it a try. My two picky dogs seem to love it, just introduce gradually.

We have been using your product for over 4 years now and love it for the ease and convenience it provides in making Tawny’s homemade food. It works well for cooking up batches with this nutritious filling, adding “fresh” veggies into the mix without the fuss of chopping and cutting. A bag goes a very long way! Along with ground chicken and turkey and rice it provides meals that she loves. (We also add some frozen cut up green beans, they need lots of green vegetables). I also appreciate the eggshells you have added to the mix, it provides a much needed source of calcium. I am adding a picture of one of the bags of her food we made that just came out of the freezer. We press the contents flat and seal in a gallon ziplock bag, then folding it in half. They then stack easily and compactly in the freezer. Once thawed in the refrigerator it will be ready for her to enjoy.Thanks for making your product for us!***********************************************Previous Review: Love this product! I have a 14 year old Basenji with Chronic Kidney Disease who is a picky eater and a 9 year old Basenji who’s in great health and will eat anything. I got Dr. Harvey’s because the 14 year old needed a low protein diet and is allergic to chicken and grains, so the “prescription” foods at the vet were out of the question. I typically order the 7 pound bag so I don’t have to buy it as often and the first few bags were great. We did get one where it looked like they forgot to send the beets through the extra “fine ground” process and my picky dog wouldn’t eat them, but if I picked them out of his food for him beforehand he was fine. I typically give him 2 oz of egg whites with each meal and an oil (Amazon has an amazing variety of oils in pumper bottles) and his numbers are doing really well, according to the vet. However with this last bag the food comes out a lot pinker when I add the water and now my picky dog won’t eat it. I think they went overboard on the beets in this batch and he refuses to eat it, even when I know he’s starving. So I’m feeding it to my other dog, because he’ll eat anything, and now cooking from scratch for my picky eater.It’s a great food but between the price and the inconsistencies I think I may just end up cooking from scratch for my dog at this point. I do have to say that the customer service is fantastic if you have any questions at all about the food or what you should add to it. If your dog has any health issues please contact the company directly and you’ll speak with Dr. Harvey himself. That’s pretty unusual in today’s world of call centers and was a very pleasant surprise.

My dogs would just leave this and not even it eat..they are pugs they eat everything..waste of money..dogs do not like the fine chopped..would stick to vibrance because this isn’t even edible….
