Soothed My Scalp
I got this shampoo to help with my scalp that gets so oily. I had to wash it every day, otherwise it got very itchy, oily, and painful. After using this shampoo, I have seen a good reduction in oil production and and itchiness. It is very effective in that regard. I used to have to wash every day, now I can get away with every other day, or occasionally 3 days. It leaves me scalp very clean and I also LOVE that it is free of many toxins. I would say it doesn’t go very far, meaning I need a much larger handful compared to other shampoos to get the same lather. But considering how effective it has been for me personally, I’m still happy. I do wish it came in a larger size bottle, but also not a huge deal, I’ll just buy more frequently. Just bought my second bottle of it and will continue, really like this for soothing my oily, itchy, and painful scalp!

Tea tree shampoo
I like this shampoo for its natural ingredients. It works great for oily scalp. I like the peppermint scent. The thickness goes a long way. I have long hair and only need a quarter size amount to get a nice lather.

Nice mild shampoo with no odor.
Fragrances make me itch. This is a nice mild shampoo, lathers well and rinses well. If you have oily hair you may need something stronger or shampoo twice. I have ordered this for years and sometimes I may try another but am always disappointed and come back to this product.

Very good for oily hair
I had extremely oily hair as a teenager and it has returned in my late adult years. While my scalp is oily, the ends of my hair tend to dry out and frizz, so I’ve had limited success in finding a shampoo that controls the oil without over-drying the rest of my hair. This one does a great job – I can even go back to washing every other day and my hair will hold up fairly well. My only issue is that the container is difficult to squeeze and as my arthritis flares more and more these days, it won’t be long before I won’t be able to use these containers. I am hoping I’ll be able to figure out how to fairly easily get the shampoo into a different container, because I do want to continue using the product.

I love everything about this shampoo. I will keep buying it. My scalp is awesome and shiny! My hair smells good! I have so many bottles of shampoo from desperately trying to help my scalp and wasted so much money. Give this a try! I highly recommend it. Left a strange coating on my hair
I got these because Teatree oil is very good for cleansing but this leaves a coating on my hair that I don’t like. So I’m actually using it as bath gel instead of shampoo. It made my hair feel rougher and more difficult to comb.

Subtle (in a Good Way)
A lot less intense smelling than I expected, but that is a good thing for me…scent is clean and natural. I have very fine hair but it isn’t as flyaway as it usually is after shampooing (I don’t use conditioner or products).Very happy with the purchase.

Second time purchasing this product and I would characterize the shampoo as ‘Alt’ shampoo. It doesn’t have a traditional perfumed scent, but once you get used to it, it really grows on you. I compare it to when our family switched to mineral based deodorant sprays/sticks; different at first, but no one will ever go back to the traditional products.Dessert Essence has done a good job with this one and even though it’s three times the price of regular commercial shampoo we think its worth it for the benefits of their formulation, the great scent and its positive effect on mood.Would recommend.
