    Love everything about Adore
I’ve used several of their colors and I love them! BUT there are some things to know about semi-permanent hair dye, and the first is that the best results will always be over pre-lightened hair (unless your natural color is already really light blond). The same is true for a lot of permanent dyes, too, but it’s essential for semi-permanent because there are no harsh chemicals in semi-permanent dyes to lift or alter your natural color.Adore doesn’t contain the conditioners that a lot of other dyes do, so most people will find it necessary to condition afterwards; Adore isn’t harsh, it’s just going to leave your hair with the same feeling you get after using some other products (Ion is my other go-to for fun colors).Think of semi-permanent hair dye like a tint; the longer you leave it on and the more often you use the same color/s, the more saturated your hair is going to become, the more dramatic the tinting, the longer it will tend to last. Some tints are stronger than others (blues, greens, purples…. but especially blues and greens!) After a while, they don’t really come out on their own and you’ll need to use a lightening process to remove all of the color, especially if you pre-lightened before putting it on.I usually leave it on for a minimum of 4 hours, but often sleep overnight with it on my hair because I’ve settled on the colors I like and don’t plan to switch it up any time soon.Depending on what you’re doing to your hair, you may need a toner (or some Titanium Adore) to keep your pre-lightened hair from getting swampy shades. The same holds true for any dye; it’s got nothing to do with the brand you use and everything to do with the way hair dye works. Do your own research or talk to a cosmetologist for advice before making drastic changes to your hair color.Speaking specifically of Titanium, I LOVE what it does to my natural, blah-brown/grey hair. I get a mostly grey/silver not-blah color. I use several shades of blues over the lower part of my hair which has been pre-lightened, and treated with so much blue Adore that I barely have to touch it up anymore, because blue dyes in general tend to saturate and stick around (but will also fade fast in sunlight, so wear a hat in summer…. which is probably good advice, anyway 😉 )

    Fun-Easy-A little messy-Will Buy Again
My hair is wavy and down to the middle of my back. I’m naturally brown hair and about 50% gray, I’ve added the before pictures just so you could see how crazy it’s been growing out and pretty much ugly because I haven’t colored it in about 10 weeks. My hair has always been colored on the red side out of a box permanent color. This is the first time I’m using a semi permanent hair color color and first time going with a non-natural standard color. I am trying only the Magenta by itself.I’m putting these notes together as I’m doing the process so I can tell you, I have No Idea how this is going to turn out. 👀Here’s what I did:1.) I mixed the hair color with about a third of white conditioner and mixed it.2.) I added a mixture of shampoo and conditioner below the hairline to try to prevent skin staining. I’m always challenged when it comes to these home jobs.3.) Went into the shower and sat on the floor with the mixed dye and my gloves on. I have long hair, so I leaned over the bowl of mixture, which is rather runny as people have mentioned. Applied mixture to hair carefully while leaning over the bowl to make sure none of the product got on my shower floor.4.) From there, I cleaned the bowl while still in shower by adding water and pouring it directly down the drain to keep it from spreading throughout the shower floor. I did this a few times until it ran kind of pink. I also washed my comb which cleaned up just fine. I placed the rinsed bowl on a dark towel in case pink might show up from any leftover water. Put the bowl in the sink until end of process cleanup.5.) I didn’t use my comb throughout any of the application except to mix the conditioner and the hair color because I couldn’t find my hair dye brush. It worked fine. Cleaned up perfectly.6.) Then, I wrapped my head in plastic wrap as best as I could without really looking at what I was doing. Just enough to keep the drips off my skin and the hair up.7.) Sat on the porch for 45 minutes with a glass of wine and waited. Thoughts running through my head thinking I must be crazy and this is a total home experiment. I am nervous.😬😬8.) Cool rinsed in the shower with without shampoo. Because I use the curly girl method to keep hair from looking too fried, I figure the leave-in conditioner is just fine instead if the suggested shampooing for the moment (today?). I’ll shampoo with my low poo later today just to make sure I don’t leave product wherever I put my head (pillows) later.8.) Went out for dinner with hubby. He likes the color.Update: This color has lasted much longer than I thought it would. I wash my hair about 2x a week with low-poo so that may be why it has lasted so long. My roots have grown out and need touch-up but the color is great. I like color while it softens with washes. Going to try Cajun Spice next. Wonder how that will turn out on top of this Magenta. 🤔July 21 – posted a picture of just Magenta color about a month old. Roots are dark with grays and rest of hair is quite bright magenta1. Just going to go for it with Cajun Spice color right over the old- no conditioner mix and no heat2. Results pic posted – my thoughts…. Drum roll…👀

    Vibrant Color and Great Condition!
I recently used Adore Semi Permanent Hair Color, and I am absolutely thrilled with the results! The application process was straightforward, and the color payoff is stunning. I opted for the cinnamon shade, and it turned out exactly as I hoped—rich and true to the color! What impressed me the most was how conditioning the formula is. My hair felt soft and healthy after coloring, without any dryness or damage. It also has a lovely, pleasant scent, which made the experience even better. The color lasted well, fading gradually instead of looking dull. I received so many compliments on my hair, and I love how easy it is to refresh the color whenever I want. If you’re looking for a semi-permanent hair color that delivers vibrant results while keeping your hair healthy, I highly recommend Adore!

Mystic Gray better than Off Black, which has too much of a green tinge
I’ve tried both colors on my salon-bleached hair. Mystic Gray immediately washes into a gunmetal gray with a whisper of purple/blue, but after a few washes it settles into a very nice glossy, silvery tone, which compliments my medium olive skin. I then tried the Off-Black because a reviewer mentioned it didn’t leave a blue tint. Mistake (at least for me)! My hair turned black and after a few washes my hair was midnight blue and the following week it was a dark teal with a greenish tinge. After four weeks of washing my hair everyday, it’s almost silvery- gray but the greenish tinge remains. Once this washes out, I’ll go back to the Mystic Gray and use it in the shower as a 5-minute conditioner when I need a color boost. This is a great product. It gets the job done in a pinch with salon-quality results.

I have different level of highlights and blondes and it looks like it color corrected all of them. I applied it on a dry hair for 20 minutes and rinsed it with lukewarm water. I applied hair mask for 3 minutes. Came out really good.
