Vegan Ice Cream for the Win!
This book is a great addition to a Vegan/Vegetarian’s collection. It has many easy to follow, tasty recipes.I’m a bit hesitant to cook but this lays out simple and limited instructions that I feel confident in following.I’m especially excited to try:Almond Chunky Monkey ice cream! I love almond butter and banana ice cream, so this is a great idea.Vegan MeatballsQuinoa stuffed peppers. Sounds deliciousRed Lentil soup. Sounds easy to cook the lentils. I may use Kidney beans.Cheers.

    Dissapointing
Not well written. Not really about freezer cooking at all, rather it is a compilation of plagiarized recipes with a hey, you can freeze it afterthought. Although I really don’t think some of these should be frozen at all. I mean, who freezes salad? Or raw wraps? Also, about the plagiarization, the broccoli polenta recipe is clearly stolen from Isa Chandra Moskowitz’s Veganomicon. Only the author leaves out the salt from Isa’s recipe. I don’t know what’s worse, the plagiarism, or a recipe without salt. But this certainly leads me to believe that other recipes may have been plagiarized as well.

    Disappointed: (
At first glance, I’m regretting this purchase. I was looking for a book of vegan/vegetarian freezer recipes. This is basically a normal cookbook that tells you at the end of the recipe how you can keep any leftovers for a few days in the fridge or freezer. These recipes are designed to cook and eat right away, not cook and store in the freezer. I don’t see any time savings or ideas for bulk processing, which is what I was expecting. Disappointed 🙁

    Excellent
This is a comprehensive guide to vegan meals that can be frozen. Everything from equipment, preventing freezer burn, suitable food and of course recipes are covered! The recipes are not just easy to follow but are tasty AND have nutritional info included. The chili quinoa is my favorite so far, it is amazing (we didn’t have nay left over to freeze!)

Just what I wanted to read. A vegan cookbook featuring nice easy meals to prepare and some more “fancy dinner meals with friends” type of recipes. The author gives you clear instructions on how to freeze and thaw/cook meals. A real nice combination of a book and a handy guide for new and more experienced vegans. Thanks.
